I had a wonderful experience at this charming countryside accommodation, Gite du Chene. the owner was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and luxurious. the location was excellent, just a short walk from the beautiful walled town of Bergues. the family room was spacious and well-equipped, with enough beds for our group of five. the breakfast provided was simple but satisfying, with fresh bread, croissants, jams, and yogurt. The surrounding countryside was lovely, and the overall value for money was excellent. Cons: Nothing to complain about at all. 😊.

I had a wonderful stay at a charming rural accommodation with a relaxed and helpful owner. The surrounding countryside was peaceful, and the garden with a chicken run was delightful. I enjoyed playing billiards and ping pong in the common room. The fresh farm bread, croissants, jams, cold cuts, and cheese made for a delicious breakfast. The option to have eggs from their own chickens was a nice touch. Plus, being able to help myself to drinks from the fridge made me feel right at home. I highly recommend this hotel.
The only small drawback was the firmness of the bed, which was not what I was used to. Nonetheless, it didn't hinder my overall enjoyment of the stay.
